
Xcaret is the most famous park of the Mayan Riviera. Located on the Caribbean coastline of the Yucatan Peninsula. It’s a thematic, ecological, cultural and archaeological park to enjoy nature and Mexican heritage.

Among its natural attractions are worth mentioning the coves that meet the ocean to snorkel, beaches and natural pools with multicolored fishes.

Paradise and underground rivers


There are underground rivers with caves and marine fossils and open-air rivers surrounded by jungle and mangroves.

Flora and Fauna


The park has a rich regional flora and fauna with macaws, flamingos, gigantic and baby marine turtles, cougar, jaguar, manta rays, manatees lagoon, deer, tapir, spider monkey, and a butterfly pavilion.


There is an aquarium with coral reefs where you can watch the beautiful and elegant sea horses and the marine world. Regarding the flora, there is a Jungle Tropical path with orchids and bromelias greenhouse, botanic gardens, and even farm with edible mushrooms.
Archaeological site
Xcaret in mayan language mean "small cove" and in Pre-Hispanic times it was one of the most important ports and ceremonial center of the Mayan culture.


That is why the park offers rich and cultural attractions with ruins and archaeological sites, caves of the mayan underworld, antique mayan cities in miniature, a Mayan town with costums and traditions, a Mexican cemetery of the Mayan people, a ball court and the Papantla flyers.
The park offers a 80 mts tall rotating scenic tower to have a panoramic view of Xcaret.
Performances

In Xcaret you can enjoy performances both during the day and night.


The stage El Gran Tlachtco offers every night a show with more than 300 artists on stage. The performance begins with a journey to the past with the mayan pre-hispanic ball game and continues with music and regional dances that will make you live Mexico’s exciting history, colors and traditions.


The park offers plenty of services such as: restaurants, bars, snacks, souvenirs, transportation, wheelchair, lockers, towels, snorkel gear, baby carriages and a chapel "San Francisco de Asís" with masses every Sunday and weddings are celebrated.
There are optional activities of the park such as swim with dolphins, snorkel tour, sea trek (underwater walk), reef snuba tour, Spa "Xpa", and sweating lodge "temascal".
