El Palmar
El Palmar is right next to the town of San Carlos, separated by the Mata river, 95 km southwest from Panama City. The entrance road is covered by a beautiful tropical forest and the town is set at the end of this road, close to the sea. It’s a residential area with a few hotels but with no stores in town, so, if you need anything you should go to the neighbor town of San Carlos.
This place is characterized by the grey-sanded beaches, the rocks and the surf spot. The oceanfront hotels with direct access to the beach offer surf classes and board rental. This is also a good place for camping and you can either choose the "Surf Camp" or the beach where some trees will be awaiting you with the perfect shadow.
